I have recently upgraded my Masters Ticket 200 ton, seeking to soon upgrade 1600 ton, I am an dedicated individual to serve and learn all companies polices and standards my personal goal is to learn and obtain my 1600 all oceans this year. I am service minded, while seeking to work well with others I am well familiar with ship board chain of command. While understanding the strain of hard work and, service to the company in which I serve in order to benefit from such service. As a professional sailor I enjoy travel, while meeting new people and cultures. I have worked well alongside people from many nationalities. being safety minded and well trained both in education and in the field OJT. Experience
9/2007- 10/2008: Captain aboard 128 foot Research Vessel Ocean Lady operating extended commercial charters. Current charter includes ocean bottom mapping and discovery of antiquities through the use of divers and integrated prototype cesium magnetometers off the coast of the Dominican Republic and Caribbean. Involved with all aspects of refit, design, ABS Classification and sea trials with current owner.
3/2006- 9/2007: Engineer/ Relief Captain aboard 114 foot custom Nordlund motor yacht Alexa C2 sailing Caribbean Sea, East Coast, Hudson River, St Lawrence River, Great Lakes, Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Aegean Seas, as well as Atlantic Ocean crossings. Responsible for all vessel maintenance, and safety of yacht, tenders, and systems onboard. Duties include ongoing preventative maintenance programs as well as repairs.
10/2005- 3/2006: Able Bodied Seaman and Utility Engineer aboard 110 foot ocean tug Sea Robin for Allied Towing working two ocean routes towing 410 foot dry cargo barge between south Florida and Massachusetts. General A/B duties as well as watch standing and Engineering.
7/2004- 10/2005 Engineer/ Second Captain for Cruise West’s 90 foot passenger vessel Sheltered Seas along Alaska’s Inside Passage, British Columbia, Seattle and surrounding areas. Mate for Cruise West’s 217 foot passenger vessel Spirit of Endeavor from Alaska’s Inside Passage and British Columbia along the Americas Pacific coast to Mexico’s Sea of Cortez, including San Francisco Bay. Both vessels are USCG and SOLAS Inspected. Responsible for Vessel maintenance, safety, and overall operation.
2003- 7/2004: Mate aboard 43 foot charter boat Kitt II, USCG Inspected, operating both fishing and day cruise charters. Operating from Little Wicomico river, middle Chesapeake Bay to Kitty Hawk North Carolina.
1996-2002: Mate aboard 46-foot charter boat Mystic Lady II, USCG Inspected, operating both fishing and day cruise charters. Operating from Great Wicomico river, middle Chesapeake Bay.

Operate Equipment. Operate and maintain navigational equipment, fire suppression, and hull integrity.

Skills You’ll Need
Experience. Must have proven proficiency through previous experience or by the successful completion of the in-house training program.
Relevant License. Must hold a valid 200 ton United States Coast Guard issued license with radar endorsement.

Job Qualifications:
Education Required: High school graduate or equivalent.
Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: Must meet US Coast Guard physical requirements including USDOT drug screen; thorough knowledge of US Coast Guard regulations; understanding and experience in vessel maintenance; experience in personnel management; ability to communicate effectively with others and understand/comply with departmental, Company, and government agency regulations.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: US Coast Guard Master’s License – 200 Ton or Master of Towing License
