A year spent at home led many, like Drummond who told USA TODAY in August about her “pandemic pants,” to become lax in their diet and exercise routines.
During a year of change, Drummond told USA TODAY last year how her wardrobe changed as soon as COVID-19 lockdowns hit.
“They’re black yoga pants, and I think (it was) the day all the kids came home – I would say it was March 12 or March 13 – and I have not worn anything, but black yoga pants since then,” she said last August. “I cooked so much and nibbled so much that I was afraid to put on my jeans.”
She added that when she started working out again at the time her jeans were starting to “actually fit pretty nicely,” making her feel “better about life.”
The home cook is ready to step into her acting pants with her upcoming movie debut, a journey she said she was nervous about on Instagram.
Is The Pioneer Woman TV show being canceled?
Drummond’s The Pioneer Woman has run for 29 full seasons so far and has a multi-year contract with The Food Network – which is a hopeful indicator of more seasons to come.
The show’s 29th season had a total of 13 episodes, all listed on The Food Network website, and ended in November 2021.
Season 30 is currently airing with two episodes, ‘Leading Vegetables’ and ‘Pocketbook-Friendly’ already premiered.
According to Premiere Date, Drummond’s Season 31 is yet to announced by The Food Network.
Why did the rumor start?
While the next season of The Pioneer Woman has yet to renewed, there is no word of it canceled.
However, her 3-year contract with The Food Network granted in 2019 might have sparked rumors that the show may not continue past 2022.
Yet, Drummond stated in an interview with US Weekly that “we’ve generally moved toward the show with a receptive outlook. I don’t have an agenda of things that would make me quit doing it. We simply reevaluate and ensure it’s working for our family.”

“Frozen bread dough is a staple I can’t imagine being without,” she says in her cookbook. “It’s sold in two forms: standard loaves and individual dinner rolls. It usually takes three to four hours to thaw and rise, but I only move the dough from the freezer to the refrigerator at night. The next day, it thawed in time for dinner and ready to make your favorite carby recipes.”
