The son of a film producer, he is the youngest son of R. B. Choudary.
It was in 1991 that his father produced his first film and he began his acting career.
It was in his father’s 50th production Aasai Aasaiyai (2003) that he made his acting debut.
For Ram (2005), Jeeva is the only Tamil actor to win an award at the Cyprus International Film Festival after Sivaji Ganesan.
