The key to getting perfectly juicy boneless chicken breasts is to cook them on a trivet, above the liquid. I find that this results in a better texture than cooking them on the bottom of the pot. I also think their texture is best when you quickly release the pressure, rather than letting it naturally release.
How Long to Cook Chicken in the Instant Pot. Boneless chicken breasts and thighs cook in the same amount of time—just 10 minutes at high pressure will do it! Just be sure to arrange the meat in a single, even layer in the pot, as it cooks more evenly that way.
Place the drumsticks in air fryer basket in a single layer, without overlapping or stacking. Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Flip chicken drumsticks halfway through the cooking time.
Even if you are making stew, it’s better to brown the meat as a whole first. Season the meat with kosher salt and black pepper on both sides right before browning. Wait until your pressure cooker is piping hot. If you are using an Instant Pot, don’t use the saute function.
Unfortunately, once you overcook a piece of meat in the pressure cooker, there’s no going back. You’ll be left with a pile of dry, crunchy, tasteless fibers and no amount of additional pressure cooking is going to put that moisture back into the meat.
Let it depressurize by itself
I don’t exactly know the science behind it, but the rapid change in temperature and pressure makes the meat VERY tough. It’s fine for veggies, but not for meat.

When you use a pressure cooker, you need to have enough liquid in the pot for it to come up to pressure and cook the food properly. The rule of liquids in pressure cooking is to always add at least 1 cup of liquid unless the recipe states otherwise. The liquid will help create enough steam to cook the meal.
Cooking in an “instant pot” or pressure cooker is a great method for preparing your food on many levels — including the nutritional level, according to registered dietitian Beth Czerwony, RD. “Instant pot recipes are absolutely healthy as long as what you put in the recipe is healthy,” she says.
Preheat air fryer at 400 for 2-10 minutes. Place drumsticks in air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes on 400. Remove basket and flip chicken drumsticks. Cook at 400 for another 10 minutes.
Place your frozen chicken legs (drumsticks) into the air fryer basket, Set the temperature to 360 degrees F for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, use a pair of tongs, flip the drumsticks, and air fry for another 10-15 minutes more.
Start out with a pair of 5A drumsticks
5A drum sticks are the most commonly recommended “starting point” for a decent sized, medium-weighted, average-thickness type of drum stick. It’s a safe bet if you are just starting out on drums.

I know you love a well cooked piece of meat. I sure do to. A while back I asked myself, “Does pressure cooking tenderize meat”? and this is what I found out. The pressure will in fact make your meat super tender, almost as if you slow cooked it for the better part of a day.
Cooking any meat on high heat (or high pressure) for an extended period will both: denature more the proteins / collagen making the meat more tender; “squeeze” more water out of the meat, making it drier / chalkier in texture.
If you haven’t marinaded ahead, simply add the marinade ingredients to the Instant Pot. Then add the thawed chicken breasts and proceed as directed above with the 8 minute cooking time for thawed. To cook frozen un-marinaded chicken breasts, place the marinade ingredients into the Instant Pot along with 1/2 cup water.
If the proper steps aren’t followed, the contents of the pressure cooker can ‘explode’ when the lid is removed. This could be quite harmful to individuals nearby and could also create a huge mess. However, this is not an actual explosion caused by combustion; it is the almost immediate expansion of gases.
Whether pressure cooking will one day become more popular with chefs remains to be seen, but many don’t use them in the restaurant. Largely, this comes from the fact that they can’t monitor and adjust the flavor. This makes it easier to use other cooking methods.
Slow cookers are much better for cooking root vegetables and tough cuts of meat because the long, low-temperature cooking process is great for adding moisture and breaking down fat. It is not recommended that you cook leaner meats in a slow cooker, but they can be prepared no problem in a pressure cooker.
To Cook Frozen Chicken Breast in the Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees F. Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and season as desired. Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray then air fry the chicken for 18 to 20 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
Place the wings in the fryer basket so they are not touching (if necessary to fit, line up the drumettes standing upright along the sides). Set the air fryer to 360 degrees F and cook for 12 minutes, then flip the wings with tongs and cook for 12 minutes more.
Do I Need To Preheat My Air Fryer Before Cooking in It? Yes. In most cases preheating helps your recipes get that signature crispiness we all love. Thick cuts of raw and frozen meats like frozen bone-in chicken breasts and ribeye steaks benefit from preheating.
Place cold eggs into the air fryer basket. Air fry the fresh eggs at 270 degrees Fahrenheit for 17 minutes of cook time. Carefully remove the cooked eggs from the basket of the air fryer and place them into a bowl of ice water.
Bake frozen drumsticks 80 to 85 minutes or until internal temperature on instant read thermometer reaches 180°F. (Bake thawed drumsticks 60 to 65 minutes.) Appliances vary. Cooking times approximate.
By most measures, air frying is healthier than frying in oil. It cuts calories by 70% to 80% and has a lot less fat. This cooking method might also cut down on some of the other harmful effects of oil frying.
According to Mark Dyke at Vic Firth, “The drummer will choose between a wood- and nylon-tip stick based on the desired sound color of the cymbal. Nylon tips create a brighter sound than wood.” Also, nylon tips are virtually indestructible, so nylon tips will far outlast wood tips.
In most cases, nylon tip drumsticks are preferred due to the sharper and brighter sound that they produce when used for the cymbals and other percussion instruments like cowbells.
