how tall is a brachiosaurus in feet

The length of Brachiosaurus has been estimated at 20–21 meters (66–69 ft) and 18 meters (59 ft), and its height at 9.4 meters (303⁄4 ft) and 12–13 meters (39–43 ft).

how tall is a brachiosaurus neck

approximately 30-foot
For Brachiosaurus, with its approximately 30-foot (9-meter) long neck, low browsing reduces the overall cost of foraging by 80 percent, compared with dinosaurs with shorter necks, according to their study in the journal Biology Letters.Esfand 26, 1394 AP

how tall is a baby brachiosaurus

This Rapetosaurus was estimated to weigh between 5.5 and 9.5 pounds at birth. Only a couple of months later, when the baby dino appears to have starved to death, it weighed about 88 pounds. That’s quite a growth spurt.

how big is a baby brachiosaurus

Brachiosaurus is estimated to have been between 18 and 21 meters (59 and 69 ft) long; weight estimates range from 28.3 to 58 metric tons (31.2 and 64 short tons). It had a disproportionately long neck, small skull, and large overall size, all of which are typical for sauropods.

what is the size of a brachiosaurus brain

While the dinosaurs grew bigger, their brains didn’t keep up. By the time the sauropods, like brontosaurus, reached 100 tons and 110 feet long, their brains were only the size of tennis balls.

how big is a brachiosaurus egg

The eggs were about 1.5 inches (4 centimeters) long and just over 1 inch (2.5 centimeters) wide, which is a little smaller than a chicken egg. But even large dinosaurs had small babies.

how big is the brain of a brachiosaurus

Stegosaurus brain size
It is often said that Stegosaurus had a brain the size of a walnut – in fact it was more like the size of a lime, or a dog’s brain, but still relatively small for a dinosaur that grew up to nine metres long.

how tall was the brachiosaurus in jurassic park

13 metres tall
For almost a century, Brachiosaurus was considered the tallest of all dinosaurs, being over 13 metres tall.

why does a brachiosaurus have a long neck

For Brachiosaurus, with its approximately 30-foot (9-meter) long neck, low browsing reduces the overall cost of foraging by 80 percent, compared with dinosaurs with shorter necks, according to their study in the journal Biology Letters.

how big is a brachiosaurus poop

Dung studies tell us what dinosaurs ate and how much they ate. A single Brachiosaurus poop could weigh 3,000 pounds—that’s heavier than a small car!

Scientists learn a lot about dinosaurs from coprolites (fossilized dung.) Dung studies tell us what dinosaurs ate and how much they ate. A single Brachiosaurus poop could weigh 3,000 pounds—that’s heavier than a small car!

What was the biggest dinosaur? What was the smallest?

The largest complete dinosaur we know of was Brachiosaurus (“arm lizard”); it reached 23 m in length and 12 m in height (about the length of two large school buses and the height of a four-story building). Fragmentary leg bones and vertebrae of even larger dinosaur species are known, but these skeletal remains are too incomplete to determine their exact size. Several of these (Argentinasaurus and Amphicoelias) might have been one and a half to two times larger than Brachiosaurus.

The smallest dinosaurs were just slightly larger than a chicken; Compsognathus (“pretty jaw”) was 1 m (3 ft) long and probably weighed about 2.5 kg (about 6.5 lb). These three dinosaur types all lived during the Jurassic Period.

Mussaurus (“mouse lizard”) was claimed as the smallest dinosaur, but it is now known to be the hatchling of a dinosaur type that was much larger than Compsognathus when fully grown. If birds are advanced dinosaurs, then the smallest dinosaur would be the hummingbird!

Brachiosaurus

was an extremely tall dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period (154-153 Mya). Built for browsing for foliage high above the ground surface,   is characterized by its long neck and body, small head, and larger forelimbs than hind limbs.

is characterized by its long neck and body resulting in a height of 31’-43’ (9.4-13 m), body length of 59’-69’ (18-21 m), and width of 8’-11’ (2.4-3.4 m). A typically Brachiosaurus weighed between 77,000-123,000 lb (35-56 metric tons).
