Hello. Welcome to solsarin. This post is about “boneless pork chops in air fryer“.
Meat is animal flesh that is eaten as food.[1] Humans have hunted, farmed, and scavenged animals for meat since prehistoric times. The establishment of settlements in the Neolithic Revolution allowed the domestication of animals such as chickens, sheep, rabbits, pigs, and cattle. This eventually led to their use in meat production on an industrial scale in slaughterhouses.
Meat is mainly composed of water, protein, and fat. It is edible raw, but is normally eaten after it has been cooked and seasoned or processed in a variety of ways. Unprocessed meat will spoil or rot within hours or days as a result of infection with, and decomposition by, bacteria and fungi.
Meat is important to the food industry and to economies and cultures around the world. There are nonetheless people who choose to not eat meat (vegetarians) or any animal products (vegans), for reasons such as taste preferences, ethics, environmental concerns, health concerns or religious dietary rules.
A full printable version of this recipe with ingredient measurements is available at the bottom of this post.
STEP ONE: Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees F.
STEP TWO: Brush your pork chops with olive oil on both sides, then season one side with salt and pepper to taste.
STEP THREE: In a wide, shallow bowl, combine your parmesan cheeses paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Lay your pork chop in the parmesan mixture and coat both sides.
STEP FOUR: Once your air fryer is preheated, place the pork chops in a single layer in the basket, making sure they’re not touching.
. STEP FIVE: Cook for 9 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. The pork chops are done when they reach 145 degrees internally using an Instant-Read Thermometer.
If your pork chops are tough or dry, it means they’ve been overcooked. Remember that the chops are going to continue to cook for a few minutes after you remove them from the air fryer, so you want to take them out as soon as they reach 145 degrees F
If you have thin slices of pork chops it will vary a few minutes less, and thicker will vary a few minutes more.
This recipe should completely cook medium-sized pork chops in about 10 minutes in an air fryer set to 380 degrees F. Of course, since pork chops vary in thickness, it’s best to test the temperature before you dig in. An instant read food thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chop should read at least 145 degrees F.

How long to cook pork chops in air fryer?
Thin pork chops (½ inch thick, boneless) take 5 minutes on one side, and 4-6 minutes on the opposite side, to cook in the air fryer at a preheated temperature of 400°F. Thick pork chops (1½ to 2 inches thick, bone-in) will take slightly longer, about 6 minutes on each side
The cook time will depend on the type of pork chops, as well as the thickness of the pork chops. Here is a general guideline for how long it takes to cook pork chops in an air fryer:
To make these air fryer pork chops a meal, serve them with a few of these side dishes:
Pork Chops- We are looking for boneless center-cut pork chops. For this recipe, we have half-inch thick chops. If yours are thinner, you will need to be on the lower side of the cooking time. If yours are thicker, then you will need to cook more on the longer side of the cooking recommendation.
Seasoning- The seasoning blend is pretty basic. You should have no problem finding olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
What temperature are pork chops done?
Pork can safely be cooked to 145 degrees, but we do prefer a bit more well done than that. We cook pork chops to 150 degrees and then allow them to rest for 5 minutes. This will create a tender, juicy pork chop with just a hint of pink in the center. Cooking past 150 degrees will create a drier, tougher chop.
Yes, like steaks and chicken, pork chops should rest after cooking and before slicing into them. This lets the juices redistribute inside of the air fryer pork chops with no breading and keeps them from running out when you cut the meat.
You’ll want to be sure to time your dinner so everything is ready to be served together. Pork chops pair well with instant pot mashed potatoes and fluffy white rice, and just about any vegetable side. Here are some of our favorites.
What temperature do you put the air fryer on for pork chops?
Air fryers will all heat a little bit differently. It’s best to consult the instruction manual for your particular air fryer to settle on a temperature for the chops. Generally speaking, a temperature of 375 to 400 degrees should give you perfectly cooked chops that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. If using the The Pioneer Woman Air Fryer, we recommend cooking at a temperature of 400 degrees.
Pork chops are good with about any type of sides. Sometimes my kids will just air fryer a pork chop and eat it while running out to practice. But most of the time, we have a complete with some of these yummy sides:
*I did not flip the pork chops as the air in my air fryer is able to circulate to all sides of the pork chops including the bottom. If the air in your air fryer does not circulate under the pork chops, then you would want to flip the pork chops halfway through the cooking time.
*Refrigerate any leftovers in an air tight container for up to 5-7 days.
*I find that it’s best to use a meat thermometer when cooking pork to make sure it’s done without being overcooked. I love this digital meat thermometer to ensure that the pork is cooked to a safe temperature.
