Prepare the sauce by whisking together the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, ginger and corn starch in a small bowl. Set aside.
Heat half of the oil in a skillet or wok and cook the peppers and onions for about four minutes, then add garlic and cook an additional 30 seconds. Transfer to a plate or a bowl.
Heat the remaining oil in the skillet and cook the beef for about five minutes, or until browned on both sides and fully cooked.
Return the peppers and onions to the skillet with the beef and stir to combine.

WHAT IS PEPPER STEAK
Pepper steak is a Chinese American stir fry dish that is made with thinly sliced beef, bell peppers, soy sauce, seasoning and thickened with cornflour/cornstarch. It’s similar to black pepper beef. The beef often used in pepper steak is flank steak, sirloin or round steak. Although not ideal, you can use other cheaper cut of beef like flap meat and others however if you use the part that has more muscle, the meat tends to be tougher.
